Nice to see that members of the WI have been busy knitting away to mark the occasion of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and good to know that Knit Your Own Royal Wedding has come in handy for the task! The ladies of the WI have sent us this picture of just a few of the Royal knits they have made using patterns from the book. These woolly characters, along with many more, will be on display as part of a souvenir exhibition at the Diamond Jubilee Festival in Battersea Park on Sunday 3 June.
Meanwhile online yarn supplier, Deramores, has also been celebrating the Jubilee by featuring an exclusive knitted Elizabeth II Jubilee doll pattern designed by our very own knitting star Fiona Goble in the run up to the anniversary. Can’t wait to see how close Fiona’s design will be to the real thing!
